(Fair Lawn, NJ - June 22, 2018) - Ruggles^2 CEO, Vivi Ruggles, has announced that her company has become a Certified Minority and Woman-owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) by the City of New York.
"I'm thrilled with this new designation after having gone through a rather rigorous application and vetting process! When Ruggles & Ruggles LLC was founded in August, 2011, I had just graduated (magna cum laude) from William Paterson University with a B.S. in Business Administration and was hoping to apply what I had learned as an entrepreneur." Vivi recalled.
"But, then, 3 weeks later, when I received an offer to become an Assistant Vice President at Credit Suisse, I had to put my entrepreneurial goals on the back-burner and continue my professional development in the IT Architecture Group of the Investment Banking Division. Then, after 4 years with Credit-Suisse, I was part of a massive down-sizing that allowed me to resume my entrepreneurial pursuits with Ruggles^2" she concluded.
As a part of the transition to become a fully-functioning M/WBE, she has attended 3 informational meetings sponsored by different NYC Agencies in recent weeks including the Dept of Education, the Department of Finance, and the Small Business Services department.
Next week, on June 27th, she and her partner, COO Bill Ruggles, will be attending the 12th Annual NYC Procurement Fair being held at Columbia University on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Coincidentally, Columbia is where Bill spent 3 memorable years and earned his Master's degree in the mid-1970's!
They are both looking forward to this all-day event on Morningside Heights next Wednesday!
