On January 23rd-27th, Bill Ruggles, successfully delivered another in the series of 5-day workshops on best practices in project management. This time, it involved twenty-one (21) high-ranking, active-service members and civilian employees of the U.S. Marine Corps' Training & Education Command (TECOM) headquartered in Quantico, VA on behalf of the Graduate School-USA which is based in Washington, DC.
The workshop was titled: FastTrack PM Certification Exam Prep and covered the entire contents of the PMBOK Guide (5th Edition), the ANSI standard for Project Management, and the Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct. They are the central focus of the rigorous, computer-based Certification Exams offered by PMI for those wishing to become either Project Management Professionals (PMP) or Certified Associates in Project Management (CAPM).
Modules covered included: Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Risk, Human Resources, Communications, Procurement, Stakeholders, and Integration Management processes occurring during the Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring/Control, and Closing Process Groups.
Participants were able to test their knowledge at the end of each module with 10-12 questions PLUS, on Day #5, a set of 100 Practice Exam Questions modeled after the format of those questions found on the actual PM Certification Exams.
